January is always peak time for fitness fads. Most of these are nonsense but there are some trends that are on point. This year one such trend is animal movement, the many benefits of which have been highlighted by Gymbox and experienced by attendees of new class lactic jungle.
However, not everyone has access to the biggest functional fitness training centre in London. So to showcase how to incorporate animalistic movements into your training plan, wherever and however you train, I appeared on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch Sunday 29th Jan 2017 to discuss how very basic movements can be used to strengthen your core and improve your mobility.
Amidst lots of jokes about how this might lead to a host of people opening their own ‘gyms’ which are, in fact, just empty rooms with mats in, I showed the presenters and guests how to lizard, bear and crab crawl their way to better fitness.
